Wild Goose!

Wild Goose

Wild Goose!
is our monthly worship night in West Lothian, offering a creative space for worship and the arts, enjoyable prayer and prophetic adventures, following the Holy Spirit...

In Celtic Christianity, the wild goose was symbolic of the Holy Spirit, revealing something of their understanding of God as unconfined to our boxes, wild, free and untamed. The sense of seasonal purpose and direction as geese journey together has also inspired us.

We offer a relaxed atmosphere where you can explore different expressions of worship through drawing, painting, movement, writing/words and sound. Or you can simply rest and enjoy the atmosphere of God's presence! There is led worship but this usually goes off-piste as we participate with what the Holy Spirit is doing. It's a different journey every time.

Basic art materials are provided; feel free to bring your own - there's table space, and floor space if you have an easel.

There is space around the room for dance and movement, and we have flags and ribbons available - ask one of the team. We keep the central area for focussed movement and interaction that reflects what God is doing in the moment. Take a lead from the team and be sensitive to what is happening in this space.

You need not be arty or wild to participate at Wild Goose! Be free to simply enjoy the worship. We encourage the gifts of the Spirit; if you think something is for sharing, speak to one of the team.

Venue:
East Calder Primary School - please use the Main Street entrance - Google EH53 0EJ (opposite Tesco) where there is parking available in the central playground. Enter the hall directly via the fire door.

We start around 7pm - come 10mins early for tea/coffee etc.

There's no charge but an offering basket is available.
